The R.E.A.L. (Realistic Educational Application Lessons) Life Skills Program is a youth program designed to engage young people in critical thinking scenarios. The series of four weekly lessons cover the topics of life skills, respect, relationship building, and resource management/goal setting.

Each week a different topic is discussed. The program is conducted using candid dialogue and realistic examples of real life issues. Through this training the youth will be given a realistic view of how to solve everyday life problems through effective problem solving and critical thinking. With this approach, participants will also be equipped to immediately apply these skills and techniques to their daily lives.

The R.E.A.L. (Realistic Educational Application Lessons) Life Skills Program is delivered using the following method:

1. Need identification – this component identifies the need for the skill-set being taught

2. Skill Component – this outlines and defines the skills being taught

3. Actions/Practice – Student gain an in depth understanding through role play and interactive scenarios

4. Applicable use – this gives the student ways to practice the skills in everyday life
